Often, and in all industries, professionals find themselves in unfulfilling careers, merely "going through the motions," in fields they used to be fascinated by, that inspired them and which brought out the best in them.

Companies are trying to find ways, not only to motivate their employees but to maximize their creativity and re-instill an innovative spirit. Precursors of these include curiosity, fascination and passion. Google's "20% time" is one example of an attempt at liberating this spirit in employees, in order to harvest the seedlings of creativity and innovations from "play time."
